HBT with Space- vs. Time-like Hydrodynamic Freezeout

چکیده
Bose-Einstein correlations in relativistic heavy ion collisions and their dependence on the freeze-out condition in hydrodynamic models is examined. The Cooper & Frye space-like freeze-out mechanism is compared to time-like freeze-out, where particles are emitted away only from the surface, i.e. spacevs. time-like freeze-out. The corresponding HBT radii are calculated for the two models emphasizing the difference in the outward HBT radius.

3-D hydro + cascade model at RHIC
Hydrodynamic models have been very successful in describing the collective behavior of matter at RHIC, such as single particle spectra and elliptic flow. In particular the strong elliptic flow which, for the first time, reaches the hydrodynamic limit at RHIC, provides us with a new understanding of the nature of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) created at RHIC as strongly interacting or correlated ...

Derek Teaney Department of Physics, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, NY 11973-5000 (Dated: February 8, 2008) Abstract We construct a hadronic equation of state consistent with chemical freezeout and discuss how such an equation of state modifies the radial and elliptic flow in a hydrodynamic + hadronic cascade model of relativistic heavy ion collisions at the SPS. Incorporating chemical f...
متن کاملHydrodynamic Description of Heavy Ion Collisions
We give a short review of hydrodynamic models at heavy ion collisions from the point of view of initial conditions, an equation of states (EoS) and freezeout process. Then we show our latest results of a combined fully three-dimensional macroscopic/microscopic transport approach. In this model for the early, dense, deconfined stage relativistic 3D-hydrodynamics of the reaction and a microscopic...

From the particle ratios and the transverse momentum spectra of hadrons in relativistic heavy ion collisions, one can obtain chemical freeze-out temperature T ch and thermal freeze-out temperature T th through the analyses of statistical models [1]. These temperatures are usually different from each other at the AGS, SPS and RHIC energies, i.e., T ch ∼ 160-200 MeV while T th ∼ 100-140 MeV. This...
متن کاملDescribing transverse dynamics and space-time evolution at RHIC in a hydrodynamic model with statistical hadronization
A hydrodynamic model coupled to the statistical hadronization code Therminator is used to study a set of observables in the soft sector at RHIC. A satisfactory description of the p⊥-spectra and elliptic flow is obtained, similarly to other hydrodynamic models. With the Gaussian initial conditions the transverse femtoscopic radii are also reproduced, providing a possible solution of the RHIC HBT...
